Explanation for non-UK: Every thursday at 8pm (some) people come out of their house and stand on the street and clap for two minutes.

Now, I am not ragging on Ireland here - Irish girls are some of the hottest in the world in my opinion. I love the Irish accent on ANY woman.

But....what is going on with Ireland's government? Perhaps a member from Ireland can clarify this for me. NZ will enter level-2 tomorrow, with about 95% of everyone back at work, and the economy pretty much fully up and running again - including pubs and bars, but with a suggested social distancing. Importantly though, those businesses can get rolling again, and we all love a good drink!

Speaking as a drinker.

NZ will still maintain a closed border though. No international travel will be permitted to NZ till a vaccine is developed. Air freight is permitted, naturally.
What is Ireland's border policy at the moment?

LOL, I was hoping so.

Every St. Patrick's day the whole UK seems to become Irish... all the pubs were going that route in the 00s - rusty bike in the window, sack of spuds in the corner etc...

We had a sitcom here that was set in a grotty old pub in London with a misogynistic and bigoted loud-mouth landlord with intimacy issues and all the sad cases that frequented it.

The first series had "Janet" an travelling Oz girl (played by the lovely Julia Sawalha) that ended up barring for a year... "An Ozzy! Bred for barwork! It's instinct!" Bit of a stereotype, but then the whole show was.

Very much tongue in cheek satire.

His pub got converted to an Irish bar by the brewery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1-7OWYRgFI �"Well I'm going out and I don't want you putting anything Irish in my pub - especially not in my barmaid!"

The entire 2 series are on YT. Be warned - Very grown up humour/language - as you might expect from a crappy old pub. Definitely put a smile on my face binging the whole lot during this lock-down (along with others)

Black Books is another comedy I really love, also cos I loved 'Bernard's Irish accent.

Have not seen any of the comedy you link to, so I have followed that link, and will watch series 1 episode 1 first and work my way through. Sounds just like the kind of smutty comedy that I like!
