Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

That's my wife and me on our trip to Greenland. It all started with the Elektor Junior Computer... |

I have to be honest Norbert, your wife looks better prepared for Greenland than you do Kind of like me when I was sent to Montreal in February for the first time... Trainers and a jacket simply don't cut it! I nearly died just walking to the office (-28C is *cold*) |

To be honest CaptainBoing, I suppose that I got through it well because my 'orbit' seems to be a little bigger than hers... It all started with the Elektor Junior Computer... |

Hi guys. Thanks for letting me be part of the forum and hello to everyone. I am as new as I could be here, but I hope you allow me to say: Boy, this is an old mans place So I will fit quite well, I think: I´m here because for some time I followed anything Colour Maximite. When I was a kid I desperately tried to program my own games on my C64, but I never get any fun out of assembler. But I did find the perfect environment for my programming skills with AMOS on my Amiga later. So much fun. And the Colour Maximite 2 instantly reminds me of that: MM Basic, it´s technical features... I can´t wait to get it in my hands. I´m sure I will have several questions I will be able to discuss here and I hope I can contribute to the community in the near future. Greetings from Germany Boris |

Hi, I'm new here too, I found this site recently while looking for more information on the Color Maximite 2, and it looks like it has all sorts of other things that I am interested in as well. Here's a picture of me taken at the start of the year. About me: I started down this rabbit hole in the early 80's with a Dick Smith System-80 (PMC-80). A friend introduced me to modifying it, including adding a Don-Mon, building our own RS232 ports, Double Density adapters etc. Basic programming, assembler programming, which led to my first job. Since then I've always liked to tinker with electronics, but software is my main speciality. Looking forward to having fun and tinkering with my CMM2. Hi Martin, Welcome to the forum... You weren’t involved with the airforce were you? I tinkered with double density boards for the system 80 and of course don mon fantastic util in only 300H bytes. Only in the picture above. Based on your picture of your last day at work, I think we have a workplace in common, that is where I have been employed for the last 15 years. Martin This signature intentionally left blank. |

Howdy from the Philly area. Wanted to stop in and introduce myself as a N00b. Love the project and received my CMM2 a few days ago from Circuit gizmos, thanks Rob. I am not a programmer by trade but a Sales Engineer for Splunk and look forward to hanging out here from time to time. -George My son Georgie and myself. CMM2 Demos: Kit Cat Clock BCD Clock Video |

Hi, I'm new here, but I'm very excited about the CMM2, and will hopefully be able to make some positive contribution to this amazing group. Thanks for having me. Pete I'm the one without hair. My floofball of an idiot dog actually knows very little about computers. |

Hello, I'm Chris. I just took the plunge and purchased a CMM2, in no small part due to the 8bitguy video. It'll probably take a few weeks before it arrives. I really like the idea of a machine where basic doesn't need to be compiled but it acts as if it is - and then some. I also like the constraints of the platform too. Good day. I've been reading the documentation, browsing the forum, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of my CMM-2 kit since I ordered it. I've been involved with computers and electronics since the late 1970s, and I'm looking forward to playing with both the software and hardware aspects of the computer. I don't have any good recent photos of myself, but here's one from last December. [Insert clever signature here] |
