Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

We've noticed your love of strip board. :) Had you noticed that it's cheaper to get five 100x100mm PCBs from JLCPCB than it is to buy the same area of strip board? I was surprised when I found that. Providing you need five the same it's a very good deal. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

I prefer the approach of creating a board that can be reconfigured to do different things. e.g. have either a VGA connector or a LCD connector, have SD or micro SD. That way you can use five boards in five different ways. :) Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

my vga picomite is still on stripboard as it's not permanent, takes up too much space and I use the lcd boards more so they're soldered for stability. Pcbs are permanent, can't add stuff or adapt them. |
