Well, this thread may die a quick death, or it may actually live past my initial post.

Share you favourite music videos here.

One of my personal favourites, is BLIND MELON - Toes Across The Floor.
Not only is this a great song(the louder, the better!), but the video is hilarious.
A fine example of Blind Melon, before the "Powers that be" (read: record company) forced them into the "Bumblebee" pop era. "No Rain" was an OK song, but nothing on Toes Across The Floor, IMHO.

BLIND MELON - Toes Across The Floor

...please skip the stupid ad on this one...

Next one I really like, is Frente! - Accedentally Kelly Street.
Frente! had something unique, which was a somewhat unusual lead vocalist.
This song is a good "Happy song", and God knows we need more of these in this day an age. I don't know what has become of them now.

Frente! - Accidentally Kelly Street

I have plenty of other songs I like, but rather then punish you with too many of them, I think I will stop at this point and allow others to post theirs.

I will post more, if the thread indicates that that is necessary.

EDIT: Oh one more - Letters To Cleo - Here And Now.

LETTERS TO CLEO - Here And Now

This was a song that I grew up with on radio. Perhaps silly, but I still like it.

EDIT AGAIN: ONE MORE!

Peter Denahy - Sorta Dunno Nuthin.
PETER DENAHY - Sorta Dunno Nuthin...

I play this song a bit on my FM radio station. A classic.
When I first heard this song, I thought it was a son talking to his father, not a father talking to his son. My father was very much like the son in this video, in that he did not really say much unless you pressed him to talk.

Eh Vic,
I grew up in the eastern states in the 80's so I did try and put as many clips in that I'd seen live. The first concert I went to was the Dyvnals with Cold Chisel as the main act. It was at the Vista cinema in the gong and after the concert it was scrapped due to the damage. Being one of the last baby boomers growing up where nights out were with great bands every weekend well was..... bliss as seen now.

One of the bands I loved to go see is

Better

While living in DeeWhy this band played on a friday night and listening 3 doors away one couldn't stay home

Harrys Reasons

One of a Kind

Heres another one that made it but they were great sitting in a pub on a friday night

Dog

And here one I found from the era

Boys in town

And just so Vic is happy

Unforgettable

Cheers Bryan

Wow - thanks for the replies and not letting this thread die, folks.
I was not sure how this thread would be received.

Bryan1 - some great vids there, mate - especially The Cruel Sea - Get A Lawyer.
Always liked that one, so that was a nice treat, that is was not only me who liked that song!!!

Another of my likes is this one:

THE BLOODHOUND GANG - Fire Water Burn

...shame about the censorship, but I suppose....

And we have to have some Weird Al at this point:

WEIRD AL YANKOVIC - Fat

This one is great as a song, but Weird Al does some pretty convincing impersonations of artists of the time.

WEIRD AL YANKOVIC - UHF

Bryan1,
I`ll dance at your wedding. That`s Magic What a voice and live. Bloody shame this NBN Satellite Conx. isn`t anywhere near what the tax payer paid for or I`d be investigating more.

Another one just for Vic:

NEIL DIAMOND - Forever In Blue Jeans/Pretty Amazing Grace

I actually like this one - I have pretty varied musical tastes!

CLIFF RICHARD - Devil Woman

I remember this song - probably my most liked Cliff Richard song, with apologies to any other fans here!

...and something a little unusual:

BRUCE WILLIS - Devil Woman(not the Cliff song)

Yes, the Die-Hard man....
He can actually hold a tune better then I thought for an action movie actor! Edited by Grogster 2014-01-24

Nat, John, Neil, Cliff and Bruce! Well I`ll be not bad. Reminds me of one back in the fragmented ram, wait for it. Lee Marvin in Paint your Wagon like Bruce tough bullet proof not a bad job neither.
You fellows are truly cultured gentlemen.

Got ya Grogster. That`s why I mentioned the NBN Satellite Conx. Slower then Cobb & Co with 4 lame horses, takes forever with video. But they are launching their own satellite this year, currently sharing one with everyone. Is a major to watch the ones you folks are kindly listing. So I`ll sit back and watch, chuck in a comment or two. Bit like the peanut gallery Promise nothing bigger then a peanut.

Doesn't really have any videos but at the moment I am enjoying the music of Thomas Bergersen (Two Steps From Hell). His music is literally everywhere but I doubt if many have heard of him. He does background music for ads and movies.
A link to one of his albums.

OK, more of these silly 80's videos, but they knew how to make a video back then - rather then the semi-hard porn videos we have today.

I say semi-hard, cos it is not really soft-porn anymore, with the current videos and the likes of Beyonce and Lady Gaga...

I understand that Lady Gaga went totally naked on one of her recent shows - that is not music, that is a strip show.

Appologies to the Lady Gaga fans, but......

Anyway, how about these classic 80's examples:

A-HA - Take On Me

A-HA - The Sun Always Shines On TV

...and one for Vic....

NAT KING COLE & NATALIE COLE - Unforgettable

Well, in the mood tonight(no pun intended), so:

JEFF HEALEY - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

LOU REED - Dirty Boulevard

JACKYL - Lumberjack

BONNIE TYLER - Total Eclipse Of The Heart

SAMANTHA FOX - Touch Me

...oh and not forgetting the pun at the start of this post:

GLENN MILLER - In The Mood

For the metal heads among us(I am one of them!), try these:

METALLICA - So What?!(explicit lyrics)

PANTERA - F--king Hostile(explicit lyrics)

JUDAS PRIEST - Living After Midnight

JUDAS PRIEST - Breaking The Law

AC/DC - Let There Be Rock

...a personal favourite of mine - Bon Scott is hilarious in this video...

MOTLEY CRUE - Wild Side

...and I want Tommy's rotating drum thing.

SPLATPATTERN - f-ing f-ing f--k(REALLY explicit lyrics)

Love this song, and have played it lots - even on my FM station(I am licensed), but only late at night!!!!

ALICE COOPER - Poison

Satellite let me hear Nat & Natalie this morn early, by coincidence our local radio station run the same song 10 minutes after. I`ll give Glen Millar a shot tomorrow morn early(won`t load at present Sat is overloaded) If the radio station does so 10 minutes later again, I`ll reckon you fellows have some sort of divine control.

Also finally got Hurt to run, not from Bryans link but. Was not aware of Johns last song until last year, was picking mangoes with a group of German Backpackers they knew bugger all English but a J.Cash song came over the radio. One of the Germans about 19 years old said he was a fan. He brought Hurt to me on SD next day stayed over for a few days, cooked a traditional German meal and we drank a bit of XXXX. He helped me save a wallaby trapped down a old tobacco barn pit. He just couldn`t believe getting up that close to nature. Immediately rung home and excitedly told his folks. Music bridges all generation boundaries its magic.
