Just received this display and tested rather briefly. Power via USB C connector, draws about 360mA. Seems to auto-select VGA or HDMI (tried with a Picomite & RPI3). John |

Looks nice. Would have been even better if the touch worked, but it looks like it doesn't. Still good for a little monitor though. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

Ordered. Is it also possible to power by the DC connector? 12V in? If powered by DC connector, will it then be possible to get 5V out from the USB connector (to power PicoMiteVGA)? Fred |

I think it acts like a USB Mouse, so we have no way to read it out on the Pico 'no comment |

I haven't tried touch (not needed where I have it). I doubt you'd get 5V out of the USB but don't know. Unless the web page shows the voltage for the other power socket I don't know what is appropriate (I just used the USB). John |

From the comments buyers aren't seeing a USB device when they take power from USB. Whether it needs a special driver (not supplied and no link to one) who knows? It may just be advertising "poetic licence", being China. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

Butchered an old ipad 3 for the screen . Got an Ali Adapter for. Now i got a 2k Monitor for the Picomite which works on Mode 1 and Mode 2 on the Picomite 🥳 Adapter has VGA and HDMI so its usefull for Pc also. Powered with 12v and 1A source . Looks interesting but how do you use sound if not via HDMI? Bill Keep safe. Live long and prosper. |

It appears to have an audio jack (blue) between the DC in and VGA in sockets. |

No, sorry I was looking at the photo above your previous post. Edit It might be possible to open it up to find the audio amp and add an input jack. Edited 2023-11-03 11:23 by phil99 |

I recently purchased this 10 inch monitor. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/166304135676 The mount supplied is useless but it does have vesa mounting capability. The IO is out the bottom which is not ideal but it has everything you need. Supplied with many cables and a 12V plugpack. There are plenty similar units available. Jim VK7JH MMedit  MMBasic Help |

That looks good thanks Jim. Can you use the audio input in conjunction with VGA? Bill Keep safe. Live long and prosper. |

@ Plasmamac - Danke. Ich lerne immer noch Deutsch, aber ich bin immer noch beschissen... (I'm still learning German, but I still suck...) But I might have to get one of those little monitors! The price is sweet for the inputs it supports. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Plasma, I have also recycled 2 old Laptop displays by using similar AliExpress LCD adapters/drivers. https://www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewTopic.php?TID=14650&PID=183631#183631#183631 One of the displays has been powered continously for about 1.5 years. Most of the time in stand-by mode. Not seen any problems sofar. 12V power to the LCD adapter and 5V out that directly powers the PicoMiteVGA. The adapters were supplied with small remote controls. When the display is swithed on, the Pico starts with the same keypress. |
