Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Anyone know where I can find an index to ETI from the beginning (1971) to about 1986? I'm trying to find a computer project they ran. Silicon Chip no longer has them online apparently.

Don't know if they have the sources, maybe if you buy the board?

I'm quite aware of their history, since I knew Kim Ryrie (son of the owner of Modern Magazine Holdings) prior to the magazine getting started in 1971. I also had an almost complete set of issues but had to throw them out when I moved once.

At least I had the sense to sell the Electronics Australia collection, which was almost complete from January 1966 to the end.

Sorry, I'm not really a retro fanboi. Having been a computer engineer in the days when that was still a real job (i.e. pre-IBM PC) I was never really impressed with home computers all that much. And having built one of Sir Clive's amplifiers many years before that I'm even less impressed with his technical abilities.

Yeah. He only has the AEM index online. All the other sites referenced in Google seem to redirect to www.electronicsaustralia.com.au which is a dead link.

edit: Never mind, I'll email Leo Simpson and see if he can help.

Got the indexes from Silicon Chip last week and emailed Marty at retro-riders but no reply. Dang.

Downwind: The articles are from ETI 1985-86 so you don't have them by the looks. Thanks anyhow.

I think I have ETI for all of '85-'86 (an the rest of the '80s for that matter!!).

What are you looking for in particular?

Aargee,

You legend. I'm after scans of a series of articles on the Forth Computer in ETI to send to Chuck Moore, the inventor of Forth (and the designer of the chip used in that project).

May 85 - Forth Computer
Dec 85 - RSC Extension
Mar 86 - Controller
Sep 86 - A/D Card

If you can help with a set of scans that would be enormous.

OK, I'll pull out my drum of magazines and have a look - might not happen until the weekend.

No promises until I lay my hands on them though!!
