Hi, Sorry for being slightly off topic. Post Office is selling a 20 inch Samsung SA300 monitor for $139 with a resolution of 1600 x 900. My video card is going up to 1280 x 1024 and the OS is Windows 2000 Professional; yes, I am that old! Am tempted to treat myself to this bigger screen (present 16" or so) but am expecting problems. My card is not going to drive the monitor to its max. resolution, so I will probably have to buy a new video card BUT will it still contain drivers for my old OS?? Am I panicking too early? Help! And thanks in advance. Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up. Winston Churchill |

Sorry! I should have googled this question as it is far too complex and via Samsung technicians I should be able to find the answer. Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up. Winston Churchill |

I think is ok if your card can do 1280 x 800 (it will still be 20 inch image) ... maybe specifications for your video card could help... maybe is there a custom driver for it... Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |

Vasi, Gracie tante for your advice. My existing card (nVidia Riva TNT2) is maxed out for this new screen. There is an nVidia forum, where the new (old) AGP card (FX550) is listed in a separate forum and even there it is archived. But by joining this forum I got the info others had asked before, namely if it is a 1.5V card or a 3.3V one. Looks like I can buy it still and instal it OK.
