Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I'd say none. I've had 2 reed relay anemometers, and in both the reed's failed before lasting a year. Optical system works much better in the long haul. If at first you don't succeed, try again. My projects |

Ok then... I have this option: TLE4905L Hall sensor, digital output, unipolar (or maybe TLE4935L bipolar). 2010-04-05_003213_TLE4905L.pdf Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |

Hi Vasi, A hall sensor will work ok but some need an opamp or comparitor to set the signal level for use with a micro as they dont switch to 0 level and the micro will not detect the level change. Most will give a level change of +/- of half the supply voltage. I used a photo interupter same as janne said. If you can find an old bubblejet printer some of them have very good photo interupters in them. There was a thread a few weeks back that i posted some information to, i think it was called Aneomometer build time ... or something simular. Have you worked with Hall effect sensors before? Pete. Sometimes it just works |

Hi, Never before. I know this one have a digital response (is not analogue). I will look for your thread, thank you. Vasi Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |
