Been hot the last few days, about 40c in the shed where the battery bank, charge controller and inverter live. Couple days ago I noticed the charge controller was displaying a overheating warning light. Normally I have a pedestal fan I set up to blow air over the charge controller and inverter ( plus the inverter has its own built in fan ), but this time I tried something new. The air just above the concrete floor is much cooler, closer to 30c than the sheds 40c. So I rigged up a extraction fan in a box about 4 inches above the floor, and ran a couple PVC pipes to the inverter and charge controller.  Made all the difference, the charge controller heatsink is much cooler, and the inverter fan only cuts in occasionally instead of running all day.
