Does anyone know of a supplier in WA or just Australia for the allegro sensors? http://www.allegromicro.com/en/Products/Part_Numbers/0755/in dex.asp Cheers Bj Check out my projects here in: Bj's Shed |

You could try Farnell, or similar parts supplier. become more energy aware |

I tried them, no luck. What are you guys using for current sensing that is available in oz? Check out my projects here in: Bj's Shed |

Depending on the application you can use resistive shunts and just amplify the signals. I made a 4 channel unit for my 4 channel logger. the shunts are short lengths of PCB track, with a common ground for the amplifier and the ADC. If you need electrical isolation, then things become more complicated. I have used the Alegro on a micro direct on my windmill picaxe controlled boost maximiser [now currently obsolete] Gordon. PS edit: I think PhillM sourced Alegro units in OZ. become more energy aware |

Sorry, I was spelling it like you just did! Allegro works much better in the Farnell search engine instead of Alegro Anyway $15 for 50A isolated +5V output sensor is great. I am using to measure the DC 90V solar current of my new grid fed solar system so it needs to be isolated. For isolated voltage measurement I'm using the LOC110 linear opto.
