Hi Peoples,

Im as newbie as you can get but been around long enough to know that quality research can save a lot of frustration and money.

I have noticed that the Fisher & Paykel motor is known by different models 100, 80, and 60 - the numbers refering to wire Diameter. with additional ID codes of S, P and SP. S=Serial, P=Parallel and SP=Serial Parrallel.

I've also found sources that show the potential for each F&P motor when wired for star or delta, or a combination of both.

My problem is I cant find a source of information that identifies which types of motors are in the different model washing machines. This would be very useful for identifying useful discarded washing machines

Has anyone found any info like this?

Your help greatly appreciated.

I think the earlier model machines use the larger wire sizes, for lots more info on the F&Ps as gens check out the eco inovations site they have heaps of details.
