I visited the windfarm near Ravenshoe a few weeks ago, and I've put together a few photos and facts about the site on the Articles, readers windmills page. Worth a look if your interrested in wind farms. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

Thanks dwyer. Nah didn't get up top, there is a very scary looking ladder inside the tower, and you need a safety harness to go up there. Worth a visit, I spent about 30 minutes just taking photo's. Its free to visit, there is a public viewing area about 50 meters away from one windmill, close enough to get a good look. I managed to get special treatment with the site manager because of my persistance and the fact I have a web site about windmills. Normally its a no-no for the general public to get that close, its like any industrial site with safety issues to worry about. I had to do a generic induction about safety, and luckily I have also had inductions for the mining industry which helped.
