Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

We had a fair number of challenges this past year. Lightning damaged one of the controllers in September. We had some water migrate into one of the blades over and started some rot in the root-end. We'd just repaired that and found we had a bearing failure; yep, the downwind, harder to get to one. The bearing was a bit of a challenge on the tower, but the things is quiet and smooth now and cranking out good power. Yesterday we did about 5.3 kWh just during the day time hours. I shut it down at about 11 PM. The peak was 1976w on the one controller and 1565 on the second, so about 3.5 kW at 82VDC in to the controllers. Those are good numbers for us. Here's the start up using our furling actuator: https://protect2.fireeye.com/v1/url?k=e87705e7-b7ec3d33-e8701597-860a66ff9d26-fd7af06c2c6693d7&q=1&e=39ae0485-480f-4e19-9d06-48fd86061f12&u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FtecGNiydJd8 |
