YAY!  Made it to 10k, but Peter(matherp) is still WELL ahead of me! Well done, Peter.  SKYNET anyone?! (rhetorical) Gemma 4 local AI... "Open the bomb-bay doors please, Hal." While I certainly acknowledge the USEFULNESS of modern AI, I am worried about where this is taking us as a planet, and a species. MANY movies of the past, have WARNED us SPECIFICALLY about this level of technology, and while "The Terminator" series of movies was - at the time - science-fiction, today, it is more of a case of science FACT, and NOT for the better IMHO. KAOS theory now in practice. "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." - Jurassic Park. Forgive me - having a few beers tonight for making it to 10k, so I might be rambling a bit!  Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
