Announcing the release of firmware version 6.00.01 for the PicoMite family from Peter Mather (no more betas). This release combines the old PicoMite/PicoMiteVGA/WebMite versions and manuals into one download with one manual. The download link is: https://geoffg.net/Downloads/picomite/PicoMite_Firmware.zip To make it easier for newcomers to the PicoMite world I have retained the three web pages describing the different aspects of the PicoMite firmware but the download link is the same on each page. These pages are: PicoMite: https://geoffg.net/picomite.html PicoMite VGA/HDMI: https://geoffg.net/picomitevga.html WebMite: https://geoffg.net/webmite.html This is a major release and is the result of a lot of hard work by Peter. The manual is better. "To generate the DVI/HDMI signal the firmware needs to overclock the RP2350 to as high as 372MHz and most Raspberry Pi Pico 2 modules will not have any trouble at these speeds." but it has to be 315000, yes? option cpuspeed 372000 Error : Invalid Option |

As has often been noted, the frequency of the HDMI version correlates with the resolution: OPTION RESOLUTION 640x480 <==> OPTION CPUSPEED (KHz) 315000 OPTION RESOLUTION 1280x720 <==> OPTION CPUSPEED (KHz) 372000 OPTION RESOLUTION 1024x768 <==> OPTION CPUSPEED (KHz) 324000 Edited 2024-12-30 07:47 by homa |

Basically, in HDMI mode you have no control over the CPU speed. It's automatic. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

As has often been noted, the frequency of the HDMI version correlates with the resolution: not often enough imho Basically, in HDMI mode you have no control over the CPU speed. It's automatic. I figured that all by myself from trying to change it :) the latest no rc version is fine but no difference to previous as far as use for me. I like the work done to the manual though. always was loads of new stuff to try. libraries explained. lots more to read. |

No problem folks..!! I didn't mean to point the finger at anyone... I just was wondering if anyone else got a hit... Okay... No worries then... Edit: So, I re-ran a scan on just this file and McAfee said nothing found.. Humm.. So, Is McAfee a POS virus package..?? If so, What IS a good package..?? Edited 2024-12-30 12:03 by Zonker |
