Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I am beyond satisfied with my mobile phone because it has to endure all kinds of factory floor abuse.

Ulefone Power Armor pro 16.

A short while ago, the NFC payments quit working due to security issues. I emailed Ulefone support in China and they responded immediately and explained that Google had upgraded the security and it would be in the next update.

However, they had me enter the code that shows my IMEI barcode and asked me to send the screenshot.
Next morning, an update was available on my phone. Installed it and now all is fixed.

Had nothing but great experience with China

I got a motorola dual sim none contract £70 that's got a big screen so in practice don't fit in pockets.
I've used ID mobile for years and it's still £5 a month. recommend

Yeah I went with RWG (Wales) and I have
EE for £60/year. Unlimited calls, text and 10gig/month data.

I don't get excited about this stuff but I need it for work.
This Ulefone was about £160 but it has
a huge loudspeaker so I can hear on the plant floor, massive battery, built it proper flashlight and a screen that can hammer nails in wood

My buddies have the latest/greatest iPhones in Otterboxes and there's no comparison.

I would happily go back to the days when we didn't need this claptrap, however.

You might like my phones then. I have a cheap sim-only deal from Tesco and use it in whatever phone someone in the family happens to be throwing away when they get upgrades. I've not bought a phone for many years now. :)

I use Zello which basically turns your phone into a walkie talkie. The quality is great. I don't need to answer client calls, they just talk and I reply when convenient....phone beeps like crazy until I acknowledge. I have a remote Bluetooth button so my phone doesn't need to be on my person.

I like PTT (push to talk) because with regular phone conversations, people overtalk each other...STFU!!!

I have valued clients that I will only talk to via Zello purely because they don't let me finish a damn sentence on the phone.

I never need to ask the other party to repeat because I can replay their last statement and reply at my leisure.

My phone has a dedicated PTT button also..perfect.

"How are you"
"How's the weather there"
"How was your vacation"

I mean, who the hell cares...really?

Cut to the chase..what do you want?
