Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I was looking for cad files for Waveshare RP2040 Zero and ran across this
Flat 2040 zero

I am redoing my E-Trike Display and control's. I have a MM170 with 3" Display
and now thinking of a Small RP2040 board with 4" LCD or 10" VGA.

Question Trike has 48VDC 20A battery. I have a box of 12VDC led lamps was going to
use convert module but now thinking each lamp could be PWM with a 20% duty cycle
and that makes wiring and power simpler also no drain from down convert module.
High side switching because all returns are grounded.

That's nice. A version that can be surface mounted without slotting out the board.

If you're going to do that with the lamps be careful. :)  It might be an idea to at least put some sort of fastish fuse in (too fast and the lamp cold current will blow it, too slow and the lamp will blow to protect the fuse) just in case the Pico freezes with a lamp or lamps on.

Quazee,

Don't take the risk. Chances of frying the LED's with 48V are huge.

Make 12V

60V->12V

WS also do a flat version, with the USB socket and buttons on another little PCB.
The two are connected via a FPC cable.

WS Zero FLAT VERSION

I've used a few of these, and they are also still only five bucks.
$4.50 if you don't want the USB connector/button board and FPC cable.
I bought ten or so without the cables/USB socket boards, and two or three with the socket/button boards and FPC, then you can use the same USB board and FPC on all the other ones.

Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

I got a few of those and for me the FPC cable is a pita more than half the time
also makes it harder to use as there are two boards to make it complete. A better
option would be through hole solder pads for the USB like the 10 of these I have
on the way RP2040-CORE-A

Looks to be a quick and easy way to have two or more RP2040 in a prototype design.

side note my very old network printer died and all I find under the $250 range
has WiFi and I live near a collage and my neighbors WFied printers get spammed
all the time. Something I didn't know could happen. I don't need a printer to
have WiFi, only ethernet port. Here google has not been my friend
I search "all-in-one printer with ethernet port" and get a ton of WiFi printers.

Know of any good ethernet only printers under $250?

My printer has WIFI, and in the setup menu you can simply turn it off.

Have a look at the Brother models.
I have one of their small LED colour printers and I can't imagine ever going back to inkjet now. It's way cheaper to run. You can switch it off when it's not needed and comes up in a minute or so when you switch it on. It can be connected using USB, Ethernet or WLAN (they also do versions without the WLAN). Brother also provide fully functional software for Linux, not just Windows.
