Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The CNC router decided to trap the cable to the spindle and the variable frequency inverter didn't like it

Looks like damage to the mains input. Maybe the output stages survived.

Didn't the 13A fuse in the power socket trip?

I can't see anything wrong - that ribbon cable looks fine to me...

As my old boss used to tell me while I was doing my apprenticeship: "It's the smoke that makes things work.  Once the smoke gets out, it don't work no more, and it's very hard to get the smoke back in."

Grogster After owning a few English motorcycles including a BSA, and 2 British Cars I now Know why the British Braze everything, because it is impossible to weld British Steel because of the high Cheese content. I did learn that Lucas prince of insouciant light Does indeed rule the 6th level of Hell with his 3 position switch (off-Smoke-Fire)! and the 7th Level of Hell is run by Joseph Whitworth! Love you Brits to Death but YA All need some Chevrolets over there and Brixet was the best thing you ever did

I also really love lots of American cars, but you don't really see many of them over here in NZ.  Probably cos they would be very expensive to purchase and/or import.

'67 Mercury Cougar is one of my fav's, along with the '57 Plymouth Belvedere or Savoy(the "Christine" car)

But there are so many others......

'55 Chevy, '69 Dodge Charger, '72 Camaro, '77 Pontiac Trans-Am......

America has come up with some truly beautiful muscle cars.

BMC was all about economy and affordability!

It looks like a rapid conversion was done from 3-phase to 0-phase by inverting the inverter section. I notice that the flux capacitor is shredded so the machine will probably only run backwards, depositing material as it goes - if it will run at all.
