there were threads about sd card readers and this https://www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewTopic.php?FID=16&TID=16572
use a sd card adapter. It works!. gonna solder it to the board.happy days,reads many microsd cards,no caps

not my idea. I soldered the adapter. A small vga picomite with usb keyboard and 7 inch vga monitor (that works from 5V to 24V)

I noticed this after a while

added 10uF cap and same. hmmm seemed ok on bread board.

I also use the SD card adapters and have had a couple not work. Some of them seem to be a bit "flakey"

neat boards Dave.
I will try lower clock speed, read overclocking is too fast for sd cards
