Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I confess my ignorance right up front but I am building a PicoMite Backpack from Mixtel and there is a place for an ESP-01S on board. I presume that the main use is for remote communication to/from installed MMbasic application/hardware. So lacking a search facility of the forum I am asking for pointers to some example uses that I can learn from. If you have used this feature please point me at some code to demonstrate how you have used an ESP-01 (sending Temp for example from a remote install to a web page). This would be appreciated and if I have overlooked where this info is located already please post a link.
Thanks in advance.

Copy & paste this into your browser's search bar

site:thebackshed.com "ESP-01S"
or
site:thebackshed.com "ESP-01"

That should get some posts to choose from.

Thanks for the help in searching. Using DuckDuckGo I have a few hits I'll try other search engines like Google. I am still interested to see if someone in the community has code in MMBasic to use the device in a project. I have appreciated Geoff's examples using his Micromite LCD Backpack from his website for illustrations and complete projects of how to use this most interesting hardware/software combination to useful things. Perhaps it's all old news since we have a Webmite version of MMBasic now, although for other platforms (STM32, PIC) this might still be needed.

An HTML server on the Picomite

But as I said in another post, why bother with the ESP when the PicoMiteWeb is so much better integrated and so much easier to use.

If you search the forum with terms "ESP01 ESP-01" and user "lizby" you will get about a dozen hits, some of which have code.
