Yummy new micro from Microchip....

Would be nice.... a 4+ MSPS AD converter - you could get AM radio by directly sampling the aerial tuned LC tank  !!!!

But.... a 208 pin BGA IC is beyond me for now

Oh, don't be chicken! All you need is a bobbin of 60/40 and a blowlamp!

And a firm order for 5000 so that Microchip will make the version you want, of course.

Shows how old I am... When I initially spotted BGA in your post I instantly thought of B7G and wondered how you got 208 pins! lol

Actually I was going to get a tray...but I just ran out of kerosene for

There is also an eval  board with demo software, connectivity etc...
a bit expensive ... cough, splutter...
