Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Has anyone else had issues ordering from WS?

I can complete the order just fine, but when I click on SUBMIT, I am NOT asked about how I want to pay for the order, I just get a message saying the order was successful.
I get NO email about the order, and I have to force it through by sending them a message via their help page.

I GET AN IMMEDIATE ACKNOWLEDGE OF THE HELP REQUEST VIA EMAIL.
....but I never get the order confirmation.

This has happened on the last couple of orders, and I have just had to do it again.

Has anyone else seen this?

I ordered 4 of the RP2040-Tiny-Kit and had problems but it turned out to
be my Privacy software blocking the payment going through.
After allowing Waveshare and my payment site every thing went as it should.

The FPC 8pin connector/cable not self centering for me.
Had to get my big GLASS out to see things lined up.
I now have two with firmware loaded.

The third board/cable shorted the 5VDC and my USB ports shut down.
All is fine no lasting damage.

I am going to locate a shorter FPC 8pin around 2" cable as I think
that will solve the centering problems.

Thanks for the pointer - I will know now, to be extra careful with my ones I just ordered.  I only ordered a couple, to just play about with that idea.  If they are horrible to use, I will just stick with the WS Zero with the USB-C socket onboard.

I had an order failure with Waveshare using PayPal when I got a reminder about paying a few days later. An order from weeks ago has just been shipped. Banggood sent out a microcontroller kit with missing LCD and ask for photos of the missing item.
Resolving all of these issues is taking all of my time.

Perhaps it is best to pay twice the amount on Amazon and get their instant no-nonsense next day (UK) delivery of replacement parts with 30 days to send back the bad parts at their expense. They have even refunded me, sent out working replacements at no cost and once compensated my account with credit for my troubles.

UK local companies also fail with PayPal. At 73 I feel helpless and am losing all interest in my electronics hobby / career since the early 60s.
