Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The links seems to be down... But the only benefit for mp3 is that it is much smaller. I am happy with wav playback because 32GB of SD Card is huge.. Okay if you want to build some music player it will be hard with wav I guess...

Edit: + give Peter a break! I don't know how he even doing all this magic in such a short time.

Greetings
Daniel

Quote  Mono and stereo files less than 64kbit/s work, with sample rates from 8kHz to 24kHz.

That isn't decent quality mp3 and is incompatible with the mp3 files you have stored. The processor isn't powerful enough to do 44100Hz MP3 let alone anything faster

Addtional complication is the sample rate conversion. MP3 can be 8kHz....48kHz. That is find for direct writing to a DAC. Picomite has a PWMat 44.1kHz. Conversion of rates is definitely a nasty task...
