Shouldn't it run on an PicoCalc, too? That would be great! Frank |

Frank PicoCalc needs no separate build: the standard PicoMitePICO, PicoMitePICORP2350, PicoMiteWEB and PicoMiteWEBRP2350 firmwares detect it, so TCC should be there on an RP2350, but I have not tested it on one. Note that the compiler really needs PSRAM on the QMI bus (CS on GP0, GP8, GP19 or GP47). As far as I know the PSRAM on the PicoCalc board itself is on GP20, so it can’t be used (to ensure...). On a plain Pico 2 expect only very small programs; a Pimoroni Pico Plus 2 W may work. On an RP2040 only prebuilt ELF files run. If anyone tries it, please report back. |

Thanks for your explanation. I have a Pico 2 in my PicoCalc without additional PSRAM. Frank |

RC1: https://github.com/DnCraptor/pico-mm/releases/tag/PicoMite-V7.0.00b8-tcc-elf-RC1 N.B. tested on Murmulator 2.0 board only (for now). Pls. notify, in case you have some issues, or not )) And on what build. Couldn't resist to burn a 'PicoMitePICORP2350.uf2' on my Pimoroni-Pico +2' - nice.. Created with MMBasic's Editor: list "a:/hello.c" #include <stdio.h> int main(void) { puts("Hallo!"); return 0; } Compile and run: > tcc "-o hello.elf hello.c" > files A:/ <DIR> . <DIR> .. 00:00 01-01-2024 4 bootcount 00:01 01-01-2024 80 hello.c 00:37 01-01-2024 704 hello.elf 00:04 01-01-2024 704 hello.o 2 directories, 4 files, 12566528 bytes free > run "hello.elf" Hallo! > The file "hello.o" is a result of earlier 'tcc "-c hello.c"' Regards, bfwolf |

Same here, RP2350B-DIL with no PSRAM |

![]() I can confirm: compiling my mini "Hello" application worked even before I enabled PSRAM. |

Yep, some short programs fit the SRAM in 2350, but in case big... only PSRAM will help. Edited 2026-11-04 07:57 by MikeV73 |

I have it running on my PicoCalc. Fantastic! One small caveat, OPTION CASE UPPER or OPTION CASE TITLE will prevent compilation. keywords seem to need to be in lowercase only. With OPTION CASE UPPER, you get this: #include <stdio.h> int main(void) { puts("Hallo!"); RETURN 0; } Since RETURN is also a BASIC keyword, it's capitalized, which C doesn't like. Build in EDIT command is there. Also, F2-RUN is working for C-sources. For me, RUN works but F2 doesn't. I get a syntax error at the first non-BASIC line (usually the include) |
