Dear Members,

Have any games been ported over to the rp2350B but only 16 colours at one time.

Kind Regards,

Hi Rick,

Almost all games that run on RP2040 picomite Will also run on RP2350(B) picomite.
Appart from that Peter has ported some BBC basic programs over to 2350.
These Will not run on 2040 since it either misses commands/functions or do not have sufficient RAM

Since the video memory is different between WIFI builds and non-WIFI builds, the common denominator has to be found on what video modes to use that Will run all system.

At the moment there are Some 20+ games for 2040 that you can run.

The 16 colors result from the fact that only 4 bits per pixel are used. Due to the hardwired configuration of the PICOMITE VGA models, the RGB 121 color scheme has become the standard (i.e., 1 bit for red, 2 bits for green, and 1 bit for blue). With a little imagination and skill, this allows you to create some quite appealing images.

Game characters (SPRITES&TILES) can also be drawn quite impressively using this method; see Volhouts
PETSCII ROBOTS.

When PICO2 came out, the HDMI output was added, the system was expanded so that the 16 colors can now be assigned to user-defined colors: Color MAP The limit remains at 16 colors (4-bit) per image, but you can now choose them freely.

You can find a summary of many of the games here: Picomite VGA games

If you find games that error on your 2350 system, please reply. I have brought most titles up to V6 compatibility, but cannot ensure V7 compatibility yet. Too many platforms ....

I am aware that there is a thread on games for the picomite VGA.
But there are many more games, that not necessarily are VGA centric.

I tried to capture games for the PicoMite in this EXCEL sheet, there are 40 of them.

My goal is to make this overview complete, and archive the versions that actually run on PicoMite V7. I distinguish between LCD (GameMite/PicoGamer), VGA, and HDMI platforms as PC2/PC3. Please inform me if the overview is incorrect, or incomplete, and I will do my best to make it actual.

Note that there are some games that are in development still. I.e. Price of Pico(graphics), MaxiTrek (conversion to LCD), Stoned (conversion to HDMI) etc.
There are also text adventures that run on a parser (i.e. Z-MIM) but I have not seen these working on picomite. So these are not included.
