This is actually really rather awesome, but just imagine this level of technology......used in the WRONG way. AI Singers on AGT... ....and this is from 2022. Imagine how MORE advanced it is now. THIS video, is all in good fun, and I did enjoy it, and it was really awesome, but.... Elementary Chaos theory tells us that the powers that be, WILL use this level of AI technology, to UTTERLY deceive entire generations of people, about things that people have said......that they never really said at all. But people will BELIEVE it, cos....IT LOOKS LIKE THEM! I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist, but.... Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

In the older days the saying was "pictures don't tell lies". That ship sailed at least six years ago. There were also sayings like "photographic proof". Neither video or photos are reliable anymore. There is plenty of new tech focused on detecting AI altered media but it is just a race between content providers and content detectives. |

My partner is into music a lot, she finds heaps of AI music on youtube when she is looking for new music. At the moment there are tell tales in the words commonly used in the songs, but it won't be long until we can't tell if it is our favourite artist or AI |

This is what the robot uprising will look like, not "The Terminator". We will all just be made irrelevant... :-P |

Yes been watching this closely. I find I can still pick a AI video fairly easily, but it scares me looking at the comments how many people are fooled, that's the threat. Media like facebook and youtube need a way to flag any content as AI generated, betting that will be happening soon. I use the paid version of ChatGPT daily, its boosted my productivity many fold. I like the Question / Response / Further Question / Better Response nature of it, and have many long discussions and projects on the go with it. Its come a long way since version 4. What I dont like, and wont use, are agents or the desktop ap. Giving any AI access to my PC, download tools, and work unattended is not safe. I think limiting its access to built in tools only, like image/audio analysis and generation, are ok, but letting the AI find and use tools to let it access the operating system, create executables, "hack" into other systems is not ok. And AI agents discovering each other is scary. Currently AI agents run neural networks internally, but talk to each other using LLM's, in English mostly, so we can see what was going on, but its only a matter of time before they come up with a faster way of communication. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

I've posted this wee video before, but it is SO appropriate to the current AI stuff. From the movie Automata. Automata - AI scene... "It wasn't that it stopped communicating with us, it was we stopped being able to understand it." Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
