Hi all, I treated myself to a retro-style keyboard for my CMM2. It's a brand new replica of the old IBM Model M keyboard. No fancy LED's or volume controls - just a great looking old keyboard. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08F3WBFP1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 After using it for a few days, I've got to say I love it and I recommend it for anyone who wants that nostalgia hit. It's not actually mechanical, but membrane under the keys - but it still feels great. An added bonus is that it's much quieter than my main mechanical keyboard. Considering I've set my CMM2 up in the spare bedroom right beside our bedroom, I think my wife will be appreciative of that quietness when I'm programming in the witching hours. I was using a cheap generic PC keyboard on it up until now, and really couldn't justify going all in on a good mechanical keyboard - but this hits the right mid point. Typing is way more accurate and comfortable. And it works great with the CMM2 - no problems at all. |
