Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Forum Index : Microcontroller and PC projects : "I wrote the START menu....or parts thereof."

I rather like this guy.  Ex MS software Engineer.
I do like to watch/listen to people who wrote all this historic stuff, code-wise.

"I wrote the START menu..."

He also maybe stretches the truth a tiny but, but that's ok, his content is good.

I've been watching Dave for some time now. I wish I could run down past jobs/task
as he does. Feels like he is talking to me. Something nice on youtube where others
are talking at me or at time feels down to me.

Love the PDP11/34 stuff brings back collage days with the PDP11/45 and four years
of FORTRAN coding.

I subscribe after the first time I watched him and do a like every show.

I worked at Microsoft in Bellevue and Bothell Wa. in 1998 and loved working with the folks there. They were all very proud of what they were doing as individuals contributing to an overall goal. It was nice to see and experience.

I would not be so quick to say that I was proud of working on the most unreliable piece of crap ever. I could tell stories of being the first technical employee of a new distribution warehouse and the agony of being on 24/7 call response. BSOD was a daily happening.
