Quick question.

Does the photo below show the correct mounting (metal side up) orientation for these types of GPS antennas?

I've been mounting them with the ceramic(?) side up & they work OK.

Interesting, I always use with ceramic side up.

Not a very good image so it is hard to see the antenna, but essentially the ceramic side (ie, the antenna) should be pointing to the sky.  Having said that I have a number of installations where the antenna is pointing to the horizon and they seem to work just as well.

Thanks for the replies.

I thought I had it right. Found another (clearer) image to confirm.

I too have one mounted vertically under a southern facing eave. Works OK
