Here is my reverse-engineered version of the 2048 game for CMM2. Volhout, this should be an easy one to adapt for the Game/Picomite if you are so inclined. -Bill 2048.zip |

I for one would like to see this game on the picomite (VGA or non). I have been addicted to this on the B-em running on the Pico using Pimoroni's PicoVGA demo board. The b-em is demoed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnDjgHQR_io The 2048 game is one of those loaded by default to the Basic disk files included. |

Hi okwatts, Here is the PicoMiteVGA version of the game. It has minor changes over the CMM2 version, mainly to adapt it to the screen resolution. 2048_pico.zip You are free to give feedback, so I can improve where needed. Regards, Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

HI Volhout I don't know whether to thank you or not for this! It works just fine but I have been spending far too long trying to win, so that not much else is getting done when I sit down at the Picomite. I appreciate your doing this. After I win (maybe never??) I'll compare this to the elegant sliding tiles etc. of the BBC micro version. My simple mind likes simple puzzles like Sudoku, Geoff's Blocks game, and this one. Thanks again. Edit: I also meant to thank William for the initial version on the CMM2 (Just might have to get one of the new layout "G3"?.) Edited 2024-02-28 11:34 by okwatts |

Hi okwatts, Similar here. You may want to try Vegipete's ChemiChaos, or versions of SOKO-BAN. Also puzzel games. There is a thread on PicoMite VGA games. The first post is SokoBan. On 2048 I also spend quite some time, but 1024 was the max I ever reached. 512 few times, and 256 is my common score. So I never reached 2048. You also need a bit of luck. When a "2" get's stuck between high numbers, you are finished. Volhout Edited 2024-02-28 17:31 by Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |
