MM Edit 5.0 When I send a listing to the editor long lines are wrapping around then when I load the file into another MM there are numerous errors where one line is now two. Is there a way to increase the line length in the editor ? "It is better to be ignorant and ask a stupid question than to be plain Stupid and not ask at all" |

If you are sending a listing from the 'mite to MMEdit, it is probably the 'mite that is doing the line wrapping. I try and remember to set the 'mite console to a wide setting to reduce the chance of wrapping. MMEdit can handle anything you are likely to throw at it and the later versions of MMCC also handle long lines. A quick way to check a listing for unwanted wrapping is to set the column marker that puts a line at column 80 and scroll down the listing. Lines that come close need a closer look. I tried to set the column marker but could not see how. I have checked show column 80 and I'll set Option Display to 100,43 and see if that works. Edited 2023-10-09 18:31 by palcal "It is better to be ignorant and ask a stupid question than to be plain Stupid and not ask at all" |
