So I loaded WebMite MMBasic Version 5.07.08b14 and the hardware watchdog seems to work.......mostly. Occasionally the program stops running altogether, a power cycle does not restart it. When I telnet into the Webmite I find that all the options have been cleared, although all other files are intact. Enter all the options again and run the program, everything works. I haven't been able to tie down what exactly is happening, just wondering if anyone else has experienced the "disappearing options" problem. > option list WebMite MMBasic Version 5.07.08b14 OPTION COLOURCODE ON OPTION DISPLAY 48, 132 OPTION WIFI ********, *************, Pico_MS OPTION TCP SERVER PORT 80 OPTION TELNET CONSOLE ON Derek |

That doesn't compute. If you can telnet then all the options haven't been cleared. Use the HW watchdog with discretion with web applications. The maximum timeout is 8.3 seconds and if a web activity hasn't completed in that time you will get a timeout with unforeseeable consequences |

Sorry didn't mean telnet it was MMCC via USB. It just happened again. Port: COM13 inserted Connected to COM13 at > > > option list WebMite MMBasic Version 5.07.08b14 I guess hardware watchdog is just not suitable for my application. Derek |

This is similar to what I observed (as described here). I am running now beta b12 (with the software WATCHDOG), but I tried other betas (<=12, also with the HW WATCHDOG) and the last release. The problem persists; under some circumstances, the WebMite loses all options and the programs in the flash slots are lost. Drive $A is still o.k. Random observations: - with b12, I have not observed a crash within a week or so. - still, when I disconnect the WebMite from power w/o stopping the software, it often (50% of the cases?) looses all settings (as described above).
