Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Good news Peter, It survived overnight without any sign of a hiccup. I had a moment of mild panic when I noticed that my main system had rebooted overnight but then I realised that was during the daily NTP check and I need to lengthen the watchdog when doing that. Panic over. I hope the change hasn't upset all the work you have just completed on ADC Jim VK7JH MMedit MMBasic Help |

What does it actually monitor and do? |

OK Lew, The radio repeater is a standard repeater with RF in = RF out. The RF in requires a 91.5Hz tone on the audio to activate the transmitter. This stops random noise annoying everyone monitoring. The repeater is also linked through the Internet to other repeaters and users with the right software on their PC/phone etc. All users need to have amateur licenses. The WEBbmite monitors a number of outputs on the radio so I am able to determine if there is noise on the input, A valid signal on the input, a remote signal. The remote side of things is handled by a RPi running a modified version of Asterisk PABX software called allstar. I can also monitor the rssi on the repeater. I can also disable the remote access through the WEBmite although that will normally happen with the allstar system. The repeater is powered by 12V and solar with AC backup. A micromite looks after the power supply side of things and has done so for many years. I will soon connect the micromite to the WEBmite to put all the radio info in one place. Currently the power monitor is connected to another RPi which runs my weather station software - Cumulus. There is a lot more I could do but that's is enough to keep me in control for now.
