Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello all. I started programming way back in the winter of 81 when i bought my first computer, a Vic 20. It wasn't long until I wanted to upgrade and get more memory. Honestly, I upgraded to an Atari 600XL because I liked the looks of it more than the C64 or anything else, and had a lot of friends with Atari's. I thought 16k ram would be enough, but guess what... yep! Hello 800XL. I held on to that machine for many years until I just got too busy with PC stuff. Dusted it off recently, and with the help of another guy made a mechanical gaming quality replacement keyboard. Just waiting for it to get back from England (for upgrades) to install the keyboard and take off.

Since I've always loved Basic, I was overjoyed when I saw the reviews for the CMM2. I couldn't find one, they were all out of stock, so I ordered a PicoMiteVga and when time allows, I have a blast with it. I've never been a fan of Microsoft Basic, but it's a lot better than nothing    As you can see, i had to run the VGA output into a converter then out to the huge monitor. but it works. That was a long time comming as I couldn't get it to work with just cables.

I've already submitted my first program, "MMBasic Maze Generator", in Basic. Here's an  image of my system, which includes my PicoMite and my PC, sitting on my home made floating corner desk. I hope to have many enjoyable hours playing with my PicoMite.

Thx everyone!!!

Atari 800XL was my first serious home computer back in the 80's.
Loved playing about with ATBASIC and also - the games, naturally.

Welcome aboard.
