Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

About 25 euros per board (5 boards). (Including shipping DHL Express and customs) |

IIRC the minimum order, if you want them assembled, is 5 blank boards plus the assembly cost for two of them. So you get two pre-built units and three blank boards. As the boards themselves are so cheap that doesn't matter if you only want a couple of units. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

I've not investigated the prices myself, but that sounds high to me. Did you specify 2 boards? (I suspect you get the 3 blanks automatically as five blanks is the minimum that they'll make). Also, you can leave off any bits you don't need by deleting them from the parts file. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

That's for 5 built ("assembled") ones. John |

As an update I assembled the 5 (version 1.0a) I received earlier and added the DS3231 ( a little fiddly needing some liquid flux) and they all are working satisfactorily. As I mentioned the total with the separate clock chips was $140 USD for 5, adding in the extra shipping fee from UPS ($32CDN=$24 USD) my total is $164 or $32.80 USD per unit. I had previously built one using a pico and the Land Boards VGA-01 ($17USD + shipping) so the price is comparable having sourced the extra parts myself (In fact possibly more, I haven't done a detailed costing). I know that Canada Post has high shipping costs so can't put a number on what that would be yet but I have 2 or 3 assembled that I could sell. The shipping is likely ridiculously expensive outside of Canada (inside also). If anyone local is interested let me know and I can detail shipping charges. |
