Will have to check out how long stays on one with motion detector. Interesting also if it only works at night.

wonder how the power outage one tells the difference between the switch turning off and a blackout?
or does it simply stay on for 5 hrs after the power is turned off either way? that would be less useful

Hi Dwyer, These would bel OK for a night time dim light in a hallway ,etc ,if you could replace battery with a larger capacity one to last all night. Fairly simple to just plug in and forget ..

Hi Dwyer, Nice job. Pictures are always good to show things.
I went to ALDI two days ago and in one store there were no bulbs with motion detector. Went to another one and there was just last one. Lucky, suppose.
Fitted it in garage to give extra light when car drives in. Problem is light has sensor that detects movement up to 8 metres including "nice" feature that bulb detects movement through walls too.
Since garage is close to kitchen and not that far to TV room bulb turns light on lots of times with no need, since nobody is in garage to benefit from it.
I will try to mount it closer to garage door to increase distance to other pars of the house. Will see how it goes. Have 57 days left to make up my mind if it stays, or goes back to ALDI.
Did anybody buy other types?

This light with motion detection is best when nobody is home. Otherwise it is flapping on and goes off after about 40 seconds, unless somebody moves in the meantime again.
Suppose light is better as security sensor to warn about movement outside the wall.
I will probably keep this bulb, as I hate to go to ALDI to make return. But it is not exactly what I wanted to buy.George

I would plug bulb in for at least several hours for internal battery to get topped up or charged if it was sold flat.
I have torch that turns on automatically after power goes off. I could trigger it by simply switching off power point.
