Hi all,
I am new here and looking for some advice. I wish to construct a shed in my backyard. The intention is to store all the gardening items. There is a very small area lying vacant in my backyard, so I thought of constructing a shed there.
I checked on the internet for different types and found this one, ( LINK REMOVED ). They have sheds of various sizes and has a single sloped roof. I want to know if this is a good option? Since space is very limited, it should be fitting in. I want to get customized colors too. I want to have the same color as the exterior walls of my house. Can we get customized colors? Looking forward to expert suggestions on this. Thank you.Edited by Gizmo 2017-04-01

Hi anabelle
This forum may be called The Back Shed but most of the talk is about electronics or green energy.

Here is a quote from the web site page you indicated.
Shed installed same day and includes block and gravel foundation, shingles, side vent and drip edge. All of our sheds are beige in colour with bare wood trim that will need to be painted. We offer painting at additional cost.
You need to see if you are in their service area and ask them your questions.

The shed needs painting so you could select almost any colour. It would help if you knew the exact colour of your house or visit them with a sample.

Hope this helps
Bob

Not expert and don't have one, but know few stories from fiend's experiences.

Few problems kept popping up:

Moisture wicking up through the floor due to lack of some kind of waterproof membrane.

Another common problem they had was strong wind blowing off whole shed, or making it to swell and disintegrate.

Size wad problem too. After a while all friends mentioned that they should have get bigger shed.
Suppose not your problem, since you have there very limited space.

Single slope roof depending on shading, might be good place to put few solar panels to have at least source of light inside the shed.
Probably expensive solution for infrequent need of light inside, but an option.

As to colours, since it is all timber shed, even if supplier cannot give you exactly matching one, you can paint it to any colour you need.
Suppose unnecessary expense to repaint brand new shed, but if colour is very important painting is probably good option.

In Australia, colorbond sheet metal sheds are more popular due to white ants invasions, but it might not be an issue in Canada.

Sorry guys, I didn't see this post in time.

The original post is spam, click bait. It's a trick used by some businesses to promote either SEO or the products themselves. They join a forum, post a message asking for advise, and include a link to a product. The idea is to get you to visit the link, so they get "click's", and more people looking at the product, and it starts to rank better in google.

The clues are this is the one and only post by anabelle, its not really on topic for this forum, and it has a product link. anabelle has been disabled and I removed the link.

The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now.

Heard about "click bait", now I understand how it works.
(Feel bad about my naivety)

Probably too much trouble, but this site could be reported to their provider, so they can be stripped off all the unfairly obtained clicks.
