Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

That`ll be magic, no good where size and portability is a factor, but for solar farms, wind farms on the money. Even out the flow. Lets hope it becomes reality.

Great article. This quote from the article reminds me of something I already do:

"The researchers say the technology stands to be a game-changer in renewable energy storage by solving the intermittent generation problems faced by renewable sources, such as wind and solar."

I've solved my energy-storage problems by compressing air with my windmills and using that compressed air, stored in receivers (tanks) similarly to what the article is alluding to. When I need power, I run the air through small air-driven engines, which I manufacture as a hobby.

Coupled to the engine might be a belt-driven tool or an alternator.

Another thought in Germany was to generate hydrogen with the excess energy and feed it into the gas grid.
Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up.
