Not knowing that our hero passed away, spent Sunday reviving my torch.

No matter how long it was charged it only took 30 second to 2 minutes to go flat

Have few other torches, but decided to have a look as I hate to throw anything that can be fixed.

Little rechargeable battery inside was made in Germany Varta 2.4 Volt, 280 mAh, NiMH type.

Thought about getting replacement, but 280 mAh looked tad not much, so started to look if my AA 2500mAh rechargeable 1.2V ones will fit.

Appeared that it could fit, even had a dry run with 2 AA rechargeable batteries, but unfortunately with little casing it was too big, ended up with AAA 900mAh rechargeable batteries, still 3 times the original capacity.

I know waste of time, but I just tend to extend the life of anything I can for as long as I can until it is thrown away by my boss.
