Thanks for posting Roe I've seen these videos before, Engineer775 has some good videos and I subscribed to his page some time ago. I even bought the parts for this pump, ready for a later date. He explains it well I think. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

Thanks for that, Roe. Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up. Winston Churchill |

Hi all, I have a large water ram that was used on the farm quiet some time ago. My uncle over the hill used to use one all the time to move water for the house and stock. When we were kids swimming down the creek we would hold it down and let the flow get up and then let it close and it would make for a good roaster tail of water. When I look back at it might not have been a good idea. If you want a few photos yell out. I have built a small one out of poly fittings and a check valve from a plan I got some time back that works well. I ran it when I first put it together and blew the top of the pressure cell as the glue was not set. It sent a 100mm PVC end cap about 20Mts in the air off a 40mm poly pipe with 3.5mts of fall over 200mts. Amack *Note to self 1. Make it thick 2.Make it heavy. 3.Make it stronger than it should be. 4. Don't rush the first job as the second job will cost more and take mor |
