Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

So...
the wife likes the front lawn and isnt very interested in letting it die and converting it into a wasteland.

How hard is it to sludge my own bore?

Whats min cost assuming 25m depth? (bore casing is ~$10/m) and 750W pump $200
but there must be more I'm missing.

Perth scheme water is now 17%+ desal which I think is a huge waste on the garden
Luck favours the well prepared

KarlJ,
By sludge do you mean sink, to go 25m think you`ll have to call in a boring contractor. Costs could get out of hand, a desert front lawn with a few cactus`s might suffice . But if like my missus, your missus will probably not see the funny side of that.

Good Luck
