Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

It looks like something you would want a fly swat with, or a bug net.

I own a sailboat but I doubt that the designer of this 'thing' has ever been on one.
185m is one heck of a mast size & having two of them must be something to behold.

All sailors know it takes an enormous keel weight to keep that 'thing' upright and sailing, meaning it will never take off and fly.

I too am a sailer and wondered similarly. The article says there are two pontoons and it shows them in a couple pictures, but they are so close-hauled, I don't think they would offer much in the way of keel action especially in a beam reach.

I'll admit I'm pretty gullible and I thought the flight pictures were real, but now I'm thinking they were photo shopped pics.

As for the claim of 185 meters, I think that must be a typo. 18.5 would be a stretch, but ten times that is well over-the-top. Two-seat gliders seldom cary more than about a 70-foot wing span, so 185 meters would be on the order of a football field on each side of the craft.

How'd you like to be sitting in one of those lawn chairs on a hot approach with a cross wind? Pretty scary; still it's kinda cool and fun to look at.
