i had same problem and my cookies were enabled so today it flashed on me to delete my cookies and here i am now. so just delete your cookies with explorer open goto tools , internet options , delete cookies . but any passwords that you had store on computer will be gone. |

This problem pops up occasionally, I get a message about it once a month or so. I dont have a simle answer. It can be caused by a few things, like a currupted cookie on your computer ( harmless, but stops you logging in ), or security settings set too high. What browser are you running Bruce? IE or Firefox or something else? Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

BRUCE; If you are using Firefox or Internet explorer , Click on tools, then click on Options, Then privacy, The red arrow points to a check mark in the little white box, To enable cookies the check mark must appear in the box. IF the box is empty click on it using the left mouse button. A cookie is a little Data package That web sites love to park on your hard disk, Mostly for advertising and mostly they are harmless, Some cookies are used to Identify computers for log in purposes , an example; BBC NEWS at one time used a cookie to identify my preference of Media Player, This way it was setup to use the one i like automatically when I clicked a Video News Item. All Computers that log on to the internet have an ID number. So the server Logs this number and when you log on later It Knows if you've been Bad Or Good. The Browser program has a cache for cookies and you can adjust the amount of memory used for storing cookies, If this memory cache is full then no new cookies can be stored. There is a program in windows. accessories , SCHEDULED TASKS. To keep your browser cleaned up. EDIT: Note; When you delete cookies they are replaced by the Server when you log on, So no worries about stuffing your Operating System.
