Here's one for the "Bushies" !!

I get chomped(bittern) by these little buggers  and the pain stays around the bite area for ,sometimes days.

Any of you guys know of grandma's secrets in treating the stings ???

I used to use (bracken fern for ant sting) works well, but can't find that stuff anymore.

I just found a bull ants nest here yesterday, buggers are 23mm long.

Vinegar on the bite.
That's what the local vet recommended for our dogs when they get bitten by jack-jumper ants. The jack-jumpers are big and mean buggers.

For us, we use sting-gos

Epsom salts works really well for chigger, tick, and mosquito bites.

I put about a kilo in the tub, and take a nice hot bath in it. It usually takes two treatments about two weeks apart to clear up the chigger and tick bites.

OK, thanks ,looks like a few "Bushies" out there ,after all ?

The "Jack-Jumpers" ,yep I've got them fellas in the She-Oak trees ,and when you brush cut under them ,they sort of like getting down the back of my shirt.  

And Aaron,s "Bull-Ants" they are buggers ..

I'll try the vinegar, sting-goes and the Epson salts sounds like a good idea ,but not during the Drought,Eh?

Yep, didn't,t know about Tasmania.  They look aggressive,,
Probably related to the jack-ants  we have here in trees and garden stuff.

I think ants will have a go at anything.
A while back I noticed this weird intermittent faint scratching sound, in the pre-dawn quiet..after a lot of patience it turned out to be coming from two bits of heavy foil, from sealing chocolate drink powder. To be exact, there were some ants trying to "bite" the two bits of foil and the foils were acting as a sounding board. Literally "ant music" I guess !   but a bit perplexing early in the morning.
