Hi,

A friend gave me a Packard Bell VT100 screen withn a 12VDC 3.75A supply cord but could not give me the power supply, which I bought from China BUT there is no indication of the polarity required for the screen.

What I also found weird is the DC supply power cable is a coax cable with a centre lead and a braid a la coax. Is there some sort of an industry standard? I would not want to blow this nice flat screen with an incorrect polarity.

Thanks.

Not the best thing to worry about.

Maybe you could open cover of screen and trace back inside from some known polarity components?
