I'm going to be making a lot of different renewable energy stuff and it's all going to be crude. Simple stuff that you can find anywhere and is just crude. Post Apocalyptic Crude. One thing I want to do is a Bike Generator. Something where I can use a bike of some kind to charge a battery bank. I've seen some basic stuff but I'm curious on what you guys think I should use? I do want to use a treadmill motor for it though if I can. So tell me your ideas for a Crude Bike Generator. Also I don't know much about exercise bikes. Would I by any chance be able to attach a motor to the big wheel of the exercise bike and use that part to help increase the amount of spins I make the motor spin? This is the picture of the bike I'm talking about. Ask any questions if you confused about what I'm talking about. |

Some of those are really pretty. I'm picking the one in the picture up, at least I'm trying to. I want to make it as pretty as possible and detachable. That way I can store the generator it's self and use the exercise bike as it's meant to. But do you know if the big wheel, which makes turning the petals harder, would turn the motor faster or not? |

Also I might try making one of these. It's apocalyptic crude in my eyes. Any ideas from watching the video that makes you think of how it's made? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TH3FwFSbM0 |
