G'day all, I'm a member of a social club with our own grounds and a basic solar system. We had a petrol powered genset which died and we are looking at the Kipor diesel 4.5kva unit model number KDE6700TA. Has anyone here any experience with this particular unit and if so are you able to pass on the pros and cons of said unit please? Normal? Me?.......I don't think so! |

Hi Spook is this the one? http://www.generatorhouse.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=248&gclid=CO fgwf223q4CFUcmpAodREkVaA I have one of these and it is used as a backup on solar system it is OK but suffers a bit from vibration, needs the wheels off and sit on rubber blocks to stop it walking around, it is OK as a backup, but I wouldn't expect a long service life out of it and if anything goes wrong with it I feel it is a throw away unit. Not like the old Aussie units that go for years, They are made and badge engineered by a number of suppliers with prices starting at around $950. All the best Bob Foolin Around |
