I had install the solar hot water system thru the builder,am i able to get the government rebate?I had paid to them 5,560 dollar and now they told me they will actually take my rebate.i will never get it.
Is this true?
please help

Without system details (System type, brand name, size, etc.) meaningful replies will be scarce.

However, you might get some useful info from the following link about the system you have - assuming that the price is indicative of a larger system. There is a page for systems up to 700 Litres.

The 1, 2, 3, 4 in the last column denotes your certificates for the post code area classification you are in. Adding this rebate to the cost will give you an idea of the supposed value of the unit when installed.Edited by neil0mac 2010-12-20

If it was installed as part of a new building and was allowed for in the price the builder owns the system at this time and is thefore the owner of any rec for the system
as neil said more details of the system and your contract with the builder may shed some light mick
