Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.
Anyone got any recommendations for a supplier / installer in Perth?
Design criteria is simple
2KW for under $5K installed.
I dont think this is unreasonable given the price of RECS has gone up by 30% in the last month (from $31 to $42) and Nu energy is still doing it for $2500 1.5KW and 5K for 2KW
10K for 3KW.
I'd go bigger but just dont think I got the roof space available, already solar hot water and solar pool heating up there, think it (2KW) will fit on the alfresco area though.Luck favours the well prepared

Go to the solar fair at UWA tomorrow (Sunday) and check out the stands of the local supplier/installers. You may get a good deal there.Klaus

it was great and the best show of custom EV's i've ever seen.
F&P's galore, all for demo purposes only but pretty good none the less, a VAWT, HAWT and half a dozen pedal generators awesome

Is that a seasonal (read, end of financial approching?) trend. Last quote I saw was $25 - but they may have been 'quoting low'?

I am not the least purprised. Compare the two charts on these sites since my last post.
I'm finding it tough to beat NU energy myself
AND
I cant seem to justify the extra expense without FACT of which there seems to be very little.
At say $3/ watt that the CEEG panels are perhaps worth (for arguements sake) vs $4 / watt for allegedly better panels the cost is obviously (1.5KW) $1500 more now at a handful of watts more that the more expensive panel MAY make then it becomes very difficult to justify say $4000 for 1.5KW over $2500 as the payback gets stretched by the same margin or slightly less if the more expensive panel is better.
I'd like to find an installer and chat to them about doing an on the side install but even that isn't as simple as it appears!
Still open for suggestionsLuck favours the well prepared

Too bloomin' right.
Had one lined up - he pulled the pin. Have since found one 'right under my nose' (saw one of his vans in town 20 minutes ago) that has done a local install for a dentist who got his panels from the US.
A serious discussion is scheduled for 'after Easter'.
