G'Day.
In case you missed it, last night (6 May 200() on Current Affair, a company (NUE) offered a FREE 1kw solar system (if you qualify for the Govt grants).

Basically, they are selling a 1Kw system for $8000, then claiming the $8000 back from the Govt - total cost = $0 to the end user.

The only concern I had was that they wanted a $2500 deposit. Not sure why.

Check out their web site - nue.com.au

NOTE: I have no affiliation with the company - I just saw it on TV.

This beats the $2500 all up cost from CLEAR SOLAR by a mile.

Regards, Greg.

When you go to the web site there is no mention of what you get.

There is mention that there may be extras depending on the site.

The deposit would sort the genuine from the time wasters.

Is it good value?

It seems a competitive price but until you know all the details it is impossible to say.

You're not wrong there - FREE certainly is a competitive price !

On the ACA program, they showed a factory with a bunch of guys building their own solar panels - maybe this is how they keep the costs down?

Doesn't help me though - I don't qualify.

Regards, Greg.

Hi everyone,

There's always a catch to the free / really cheap solar offers.

I compiled some information on my web page, to make people a little more wiser so they know what they're getting into.

Fatal Trap Exposed

Good luck.
